Step Studies
Many think that recovery is only for those with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that only about one-third of those attending Celebrate Recovery are dealing with chemical dependencies. Whether the struggle is emotional, financial, relational, or chemical, there is hope. Celebrate Recovery offers a way to move forward…beyond hurts, habits and hang-ups…by offering the tools needed to experience emotional health and peace in the midst of life’s stresses.

A Step Study is a personal journey through each of the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery in a confidential group led by a facilitator who has completed a study. The step study is where we get into the heart of the program and find true healing from life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Recovery is not an overnight phenomenon, but more like a journey; step study groups meet once per week and typically take 9 months to complete the study. A Step Study is a long-term commitment to the members of the group and to yourself. If you join a Step Study, you are expected to do the work and come each week until you complete it. As with any endeavor, the more effort you put into Celebrate Recovery, the more benefit you will gain. After completing the Step Study, we hope you will join us as we minister to others dealing with their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
When you finish the study, you will have worked your hurts, habits, and hang-ups through each of the 12 steps. A Step Study is a long-term commitment to the members of the group, and most importantly a commitment to yourself. Step Study meetings are gender-specific and meet on a different day other than the Thursday Night meetings in the main auditorium.
When the group has completed the first Volume of the Participant Guide Workbook, the group is closed to new people. New groups start periodically, so let us know if you’re interested by joining the waitlist for the next session.

Maintaining a high level of safety and integrity is essential to all Celebrate Recovery groups. Below are some general guidelines and rules regarding group settings. These guidelines provide a safe place for everyone to agree and follow.
1. Always keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Use “I” and “me” statements. Please limit your sharing to three to five minutes.
2. Please, no cross talk. Cross talk is when two individuals engage in a dialogue, excluding all others. Each person is free to express feelings without interruption.
3. We are here to support one another. We will not attempt to “fix” another.
4. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group! The only exception is when someone threatens to harm themselves or others.
5. Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered recovery group.

Childcare is unavailable during step study meetings. We do not allow children in our small group meetings or step study meetings.
