What is the Landing

The Landing is an all-new, year-long program that helps middle-school and high-school students (ages 12-18 and 7th-12th grade) travel the path to freedom, healing, and wholeness. This dynamic resource mirrors the content presented in the adult  Celebrate Recovery Program.

The Landing is geared for hurting teens, along with those teens that need and extra nudge in the right direction. It guides teens to open up and unpack their day and week, while encouraging them to share.

It seeks to provide a safe place for all students to find hope, healing, and purpose as they grow closer to Jesus Christ.

Through utilizing The Landing curriculum and by incorporating small groups, students will gain the tools they need to process through their hurts, hang-ups and habits.

Ultimately, The Landing is a safe place where students can openly talk about their struggles--free of judgement, find the incredible hope and power of Jesus Christ as they watch God Change them from the inside out.

*The landing is not a replacement for counseling or group therapy- We do not try to “fix” children*

Strengths of The Landing

One of the key strengths of Celebrate Recovery is that it is an ongoing, 52-week program. All year long, participants have a safe place to work on their hurts, hang-ups and habits.

We've brought that same continuity to The Landing. This curriculum is designed to run every week, year  after year. It does not close or require sign ups.

The Landing is also designed to run concurrently with the Celebrate Recovery Program so the entire family can work on the same lessons and principles at the same time.

pURPOSE OF THE LANDING

Hurting teens need a program that will help disciple, mentor, and develop them into adulthood.

The aim of The Landing is to help hurting teenagers get closer to Jesus as they learn key principles, based on the Beatitudes, to journey toward a better life-- to move their focus on Jesus, from the fringes to the bullseye in their everyday lives.

The Landing is designed to lead young people in making Jesus the foundation of their lives, avoiding or breaking cycles of dysfunction, and experiencing God's incredible forgiveness and healing.

The Landing gives Teens

how does it work?

The Landing meets every Thursday 6:30 - 8:15 PM, while the Adult Large and Small Group sessions of Celebrate Recovery are meeting.

The Landing is safe place, designed to get teenagers talking about and exploring new ways of thinking and doing. Weekly lessons follow a schedule that includes worship, small groups, games, teaching times, videos, and other activities. Every lesson closes with a time of commitment, reflection, or worship -- and the Serenity Prayer. The students will also learn to use Student Journals to help explore their feelings and record their thoughts.
